Hello November! Now that October has passed us by, I am more than happy to start the Christmas countdown. Since we are planning to go back to Sabah for a short #babymoon and holiday celebration, I have been busy preparing everything prior to travelling. Hopefully everything will go well! *fingers crossed*
1. New furniture arrived
Remember last month where I talk about our furniture hunting and shopping’s experience here? All the furnitures that we have ordered finally arrived in early October. You may (or may not) seen some of the new furnitures in my Instagram story but we have ordered a new bedroom set as for preparation for the baby. So far I’m loving the color schemes and all the furniture we’ve bought.
2. Pregnancy announcement
I have never meant to keep my pregnancy as a secret. I know that I will eventually announce it someday on my social media(s). Of course, if you are following me on Instagram, then you should have seen my short reel where we announced that we are expecting our ‘mini us’. After posting it on Instagram, I also write about it on my blog here.
3. Anatomy scan and finding out the baby gender
I had my anatomy scan somewhere around 20 weeks at my local Klinik Kesihatan. Prior to the anatomy scan, we also had a quick scan at the private clinic around 16 weeks but we did not manage to find out the baby gender. We do not have any preference since this is our first baby. As long as the baby is healthy and growing well, then we are more than happy. Luckily during the anatomy scan, we finally found out what we are having. I will keep it as private for now though.

4. Preparing hubby healthy lunch set everyday
The hubs was on losing weight mission last month. So, I helped him to prepare for his lunch for the weekdays while he occasionally having his cheat day during weekend. Here is some healthy lunch that I have prepared for him. Mostly the food is either cook with air fryer or steam. He even managed to lose 4kgs for October.
5. Nesting instincts and furniture rearrangement
Somewhere around 21 weeks, I had this urge to change the furniture arrangement especially in the living room area. Thanks to my little sister and my husband, I do not have to do much heavy lifting and I mostly only rearrange the less heavier stuffs. Thanks to my nesting instinct, we are now enjoying a better living room/dining room space and I even enjoy my new work from home desk setup.
6. Shopee shopping craze during 10.10 sales
With very limited choices of shopping centers here in Labuan, I have decided to do 80% of baby shopping online. Some may think that it is still too early but I was worried because most of the stuff that I buy will be arriving in either 2-3 weeks or a month time. Plus, I have to get my hospital bag ready before we are going back to Sabah. I rather get everything ready than to wait until the last minutes and may end up panicking lol Thanks to 10.10 sales, I have ticked off most of my hospital bag essential for now. Oh yeah!
7. New crystals
My friend who owned Instagram’s shop @intuitivecrystals_byml had a few incoming new and rare crystals. Of course being a crystal enthusiast, I could not help myself and bought a few items from her. OMG I am in love! Maybe one day I will be doing a post about my crystal collection. Maybe.
8. Catching up with my ex roommate from college after 10 years
October was really awesome that I finally reunited with my ex roommate aka my friend from college who I have not seen in 10 years (or I guess more!). She was travelling to Labuan for work and I’m so glad that I had a flexible time to have catch up session with her. In fact, we had two catching up sessions with the first one we had 3 hours talks reminiscing about our old days and sharing about adulting and stuffs until we forgot to take any photos lol. Luckily we meet up again for dinner before she went back to Bintulu.
9. Had fun playing with the hubs’ new iPhone
The hubs had the opportunity to upgrade his phone to the latest iPhone and OMG I am freaking in love with the cinematic function on his phone. I even jokingly told him that I wish to exchange our phone so that I can vlog more often. Being the kind-hearted he is, he agreed to let me use his phone from time to time to take photo or take any videos for vlog and content. *insert smiley face*
10. Enjoying little baby’s thud and kicks!
I had felt the baby’s movement as early as 15-16 weeks. At first it was the quickening and started to become more prominent as I entered 20 weeks. As at now, it is more frequents and the pattern is more obvious. Baby always responded to hubs’ voices and even nudged him a few times these day. Might as well enjoy this season of cute thuds and kicks before it become more intense as the pregnancy progress lol
Thank you for reading! Till then x
